Tess Crossen's Portfolio

As my work is proprietary, my portfolio only contains samples for which I have permission to share. Some are not in their final form. I am always eager to discuss the final chapters of each piece. I also appreciate feedback on how I can make this page more useful to you. What else would you like to see? Is there anything I can cook up for you?

This is a collection of surveys designed for a Power and Politics course. The intention is for students to gain some insights into their own tendencies, beliefs, motivations and behaviors.
This is a technical sample designed for entry-level cyber-security projects. I created this prototype so that learners could work toward proficiency in steps. I added features such as previous correct answers to decrease frustration. Use the cheatsheet in the next block to give it a try.
You can use this reference to enter values for the first instruction. I encourage you to enter some that are incorrect so that you can see the results when you submit.
This is a complete AI course about machine learning. This piece includes the compilation of lectures and interactives. I designed interactives to support the complex concepts covered in the AI: Machine Learning Course.
I designed a curriculum for nursing education programs and other healthcare workers. The targeted audience is healthcare simulation experts in universities, hospitals, and other healthcare entities. This is one of twelve courses in the curriculum.
The interactives presented here were designed to support learners as they develop medical management skills. The complicated interventions and equations are paired with visualization and story as they practice.
Strategic Human Capital is comprised of a series of lengthy case studies. I designed the linked library to support learners as they acquire understanding of the concepts and applications.
Human - AI Fusion is a course designed to help professionals acquire an understanding not only of AI but of sentiments and perceptions of AI. This interactive is designed to show how important it is to proceed with caution as AI becomes more of an influencer in business and life.
The professor of Human – AI Fusion wanted to have an interactive that challenged students to think through this business case study and make some decisions as participants in the original study had made. I also included the means to capture student responses so that they could upload them to participate in a discussion, interaction with their professor, or reflect upon them in their world of work.
This interactive was designed for groups of professionals to examine their decision-making skills as individuals and as groups. This involved producing a learning experience for blended learning. The goal is for groups to determine their synergy, or the quality of team abilities to make decisions that are better than just averaging everyone’s score. The result is a downloaded report that captures individual contributions and final synergy score for download and discussion.
This is a simple module created in Rise to support learning the basics of cost and consequences of breaches. It includes some interactive samples.
This is another library of interactions produced to support knowledge acquisition for those studying cybersecurity. I designed it to add story as the backbone of case studies to make them more engaging.
This is a sample video produced for an online Forensic Science course. The design of the course was a challenge in that we needed to facilitate CSI teams contributing virtually and on campus to process crime scenes. We developed story lines and mapped progress across 10 weeks. The teams then received another case to fast track as their final.
This interactive image is a job that students use to complete their Business Model Canvas as part of entrepreneurship course.
This lesson has been developed further to include branching. This iteration includes the reflection questions and surveys.
